Liverpool and Manchester United finished 0-0 in the derby of the 19th round of the Premier League at Anfield. Both teams had number of clear scoring chances, but in the end neither could finish with a goal. With the draw United kept the top spot with 37 points while Liverpool is second with 34.
In the 3rd minute Liverpool made a serious attack, Shaqiri sent an excellent pass to Robertson, but he send the ball wide with a shot from the penalty line. In the next minute, Thiago found Alexander-Arnold in the opponent’s penalty area, but again the attack of the Reds failed. Bruno Fernandes tried to find Rashford behind Liverpool’s defense, but the defenders were careful not to let that happen.
Firmino tried his luck with a shot in the 14th minute, but a United defender intervened timely, the loose ball found Robertson, but his shot was quite inaccurate and did not find the target. Three minutes later, Mane made an excellent pass to Firmino, who instead of passing to Robertson, he shot and the ball went wide again.
Shaqiri made another shot in the 20th minute, this time blocked by Lindelf . Fabinho played an excellent role in the defense of the hosts, after Rashford run, who instead of passing to Cavani tried to play individually and made a mistake. A little later, Alisson saved a dangerous shot by Pogba. In the end, neither team could score and finished 0-0 and Manchester United remained at the top of the Premier League and Liverpool is still 3 points behind.
